FBCL Now Offers Free, Online Access to "The Wall Street Journal"

March 2022

Fort Bend County Libraries (FBCL) is pleased to offer free and unlimited access to The Wall Street Journal digital content. Available to all FBCL library cardholders, the online version of the newspaper can be accessed from the FBCL website at any time of the day or night.

The online version of the newspaper can be found by clicking on “Today’s Newspaper” on FBCL's main web page, or by clicking on the “Research” tab and selecting “Digital Resources & Databases.” In the Subject category, select “Magazines & Newspapers,” or in the Alphabetical category, scroll to "W."

Once The Wall Street Journal appears as an option:

  • Click on “View Resource”
  • Click on “Log-in required – click here.” Library patrons will be prompted to log into their library account with their library barcode number and password.
  • Select “Wall Street Journal” and then create an account on the WSJ.com website.

Each log-in will be valid for three days of unlimited reading. After that time, readers may click on the link again and sign in as an existing user with the same username and password that was initially set up.
