March/April 2025

People who love books, people who love bargains, and people who need to get rid of some spare change will find a lot in common at the Friends of the Libraries’ Spring Book Sales, where they will discover adult and children’s books, DVDs, and much more -- all at prices that are hard to beat!

Cash or checks are accepted at the book sales, unless otherwise noted. Credit cards, or bills larger than $20, cannot be accepted.

 

  • Friends of the Albert George Branch Library, Needville (CASH ONLY)
    Friday, March 14, 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm
    Saturday, March 15, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

 

 

 

  • Friends of the Sienna Branch Library, Missouri City
    Friday, April 25, 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm
    Saturday, April 26, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

 

 

Ongoing Book Sales by the Friends of the Library organizations take place at each of the branches during regular business hours. Be sure to ask about them the next time you visit!

Donations of used books, DVDs, and CDs are always welcome, and may be taken to the libraries during regular business hours. All contributions are tax-deductible. Click here for a list of what we can accept and cannot accept.

The Friends organizations are instrumental in funding library programs such as the annual Summer Reading Challenge. Proceeds from the book sales and annual membership dues also help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at the libraries.
