Sheba Akhtar, author and assistant professor of art and architecture, will present a fascinating history of Ancient Rome in the early centuries. Continuing the legacy left by the earlier architects of the Greek world, the Romans uniquely combined existing techniques with creative design to produce a whole range of new architectural structures such as the basilica, triumphal arch, monumental aqueduct, amphitheater. Learn about the renowned Roman architects of this ancient era.
