Sheba Akhtar, author and assistant professor of art and architecture, will present a fascinating history of ancient Greece. Learn about the topography, mythology, and science of this early era. Much of modern Western politics, artistic thought (architecture, sculpture), drama, and philosophy derives from this period of Greek history corresponds to most of the 5th & 4th centuries BC. The Trojan War, Mycenae, Homer, Alexander the Great, and the subsequent Hellenistic period will also be discussed.

This presentation is the fourth in an ongoing series on Ancient Civilizations.
