Ms. Akhtar is an architect, author, and college professor at Texas Southern University where she teaches Humanities.  She will be discussing the history of Rome and how their knowledge and culture influenced the world. This is the last in a three part lecture series on ancient civilizations; the cultures of Egypt, Greece, and Rome will be discussed.  During the lecture on Greece, she will also discuss Troy, and when she lectures on Rome, she will also discuss the fall of Carthage.
