Description

Introduction to finding Civil War ancestors by using a number of sources including databases, websites and military records.  We will cover how and where to obtain copies of compiled service records and pensions for both Union and Confederate soldiers.  Databases such as Ancestry.com, Family Search and Fold3 will be discussed as well as holdings in the Genealogy & Local History department of the George Memorial Library.
