Description

The Landscape Success Series is a series of classes that focuses on Fort Bend County residents learning how to create landscapes that are beautiful, low-maintenance, and environmentally sustainable using Earth-Kind® Landscaping to achieve

--Conservation of water and protection of water quality

--Reduction of fertilizer and pesticide use

--Energy conservation

--Reduction of yard wastes entering urban landfills

 

In the workshop, "Right Plant, Right Place,"  Suma Mudan and Peggy d'Hemecourt, both Advanced Master Gardeners, will talk about:

 

1. The case for using native and well-adapted plants

2. Basic design advice (e.g. use of annuals, perennials, shrubs, deciduous and evergreen trees, sun versus shade)

3. Earth-Kind Plant Selector

4. Texas Superstars

5. Earth-Kind Roses
