Program Description

Description

Welcome to FBCL’s very first virtual book club! We want to invite anyone 18 and up, who also enjoy the comfort of virtual meetings, to join us online every fourth Wednesday at 10:00am on Webex. Our first book is Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Daisy is a girl coming of age in L.A. in the late sixties, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go-Go. Despite the rock n’ roll lifestyle, it’s the music that gets her the most. Inspired by Fleetwood Mac’s ascent to fame and sudden breakup, the book Daisy Jones & The Six follows the whirlwind rise and fall of an iconic1970s rock group with Daisy as their beautiful lead singer.

You can find the ebooks and eaudio books on the Libby app, or call George Memorial Library at 281-341-2604 to reserve a physical copy. Registration is required.
