Description

Join us for an animated masterpiece! This movie is an animated feature released in 2001. Chihiro and her parents are moving to a new house in Japan’s countryside, when they take a detour down a wooded path. They encounter an abandoned town that is strangely full of restaurants with delicious meals waiting to be eaten. While her parents do not hesitate to gorge themselves, Chihiro decides to investigate the mysterious town. She encounters a young boy named Haku, who cautions her to leave town before nightfall. When she runs to warn her parents, she finds that they’ve been turned into pigs. Haku helps Chihiro survive by working in a bathhouse for Japanese gods and spirits while she tries to find a way to save her parents before they become the main course on a dinner platter.

This movie is rated PG and is presented by the Adult Department. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied to this program by an adult.
