Program Description

Description

University Branch Library's PUZZLE FEST 2024 will be a day of puzzling fun!  Swap your gently used jigsaw puzzles for new-to-you puzzles, compete in a speed-puzzling competition, or enjoy a casual community puzzle with other puzzle lovers.

Jigsaw-Puzzle Swap, 10 am - 1 pm

Tired of the jigsaw puzzles you’ve got at home? Swap them out for new-to-you puzzles at our Puzzle Swap. Not interested in taking home any new puzzles, but still want to get rid of yours? Simply donate them to us! Bring your puzzles to the 2nd-floor reference desk starting Mon, Jul 15, and receive a voucher for the number of puzzles you can take on the day of the swap. For each puzzle of 250 or more pieces that you donate, you can take a new puzzle home. Any unclaimed puzzles will be used for library programming or donated elsewhere. Please donate complete puzzles only.

Speed-Puzzling Competition, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Gather a team of up to 4 people for our Speed-Puzzling Competition. Teams will have 2 hours to complete a 500-piece puzzle.  The team that completes their puzzle the fastest wins! If no team completes their puzzle in 2 hours, the team with the most complete puzzle will win. The winning team will receive a prize! Registration is required for the Speed-Puzzling portion of Puzzle Fest. This competition is open to all ages. Teams can bring sorting trays and magnifiers if they like, but none will be provided.  Register here: Speed Puzzling Competition Team Registration
