Program Description

Description

Presented by Liz McNeel, Keller Williams and Founder of Houston Senior Living Series

Senior Series is a series of conversations with local experts focused on the unique and complex housing related issues facing mature homeowners and their families.  This month’s topic is The Truth About Aging in the Right Place.

Deciding on the best place to age can be a daunting decision, whether for yourself or for a loved one.  Join us to explore the best environment for your golden years, and gain insights to help you make informed, confident choices about where and how to live as you grow older.  Learn what factors to consider when determining the right place to age – whether it’s staying at home, moving to a retirement community, or exploring assisted living options.  Gain a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs that evolve with age, and how the right living environment can support those needs. Explore the pros and cons of aging in place versus moving to a more supportive environment, from a financial, health, and lifestyle perspective.

Liz McNeel, with Keller Williams Metropolitan and Founder of the Houston Senior Living Series will moderate a panel of experts in exploring this topic.  This program is geared toward older adults and their family members. It is free and open to the public.  No registration required.

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
