Program Description

Description

The Houston Arts Cinema Society (HACS), NASA, and CineSpace Film Festival would like to celebrate NASA, space, astronauts, science fiction, the imagination, and cinema!  CineSpace, in conjunction with NASA and HCAS, holds an annual short-film festival where independent filmmakers of all ages use authenticated NASA footage in their original creations.  This year, we will be having a Q&A with Daniel Jacobs (who works for NASA and is the founder of CineSpace Film Festival), Michael Robinson (the Associative Creative Director of HCAS), and one of the filmmakers before viewing the short films.  We’ll be showcasing the winners and finalists of 2020, which delve into serious topics like the first woman astronaut of Indian origin, to the whimsical notion of skateboarding into space!  You can find more about CineSpace at: https://www.cinespace.org/.

Register now and look for the Webex link in your email at least an hour before the event!
