Program Description

Description

In celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, First Colony Branch Library is hosting Silambam Houston for an interactive performance. The audience will be introduced to some basic movements, hand gestures and facial expressions used in Indian classical dance. Then, the audience will work with the dancers to build and present a story! The possibilities are endless, and the resulting story is always creative, wild, and so much fun!

This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the First Colony Branch Library.
