Program Description

Description

In this six-part course, participants will learn about the cultures that influence Latin American cuisine, the areas included in the region, and be introduced to the Latin American Heritage Diet Pyramid, which shows not only the foods, but the eating habits of the region.

By celebrating these healthy eating traditions and incorporating them into daily life, the class hopes to positively influence the health outcomes of the Latin American community, and the greater community as well.

The three remaining sessions are: Fruits and Vegetables, Pulses, and Nuts and Seeds.

The program will be led by Erica Knighton, Cooperative Extension Program (CEP) Family and Community Health (FCH)- Fort Bend County Agent.

Registration Required. Register online or call 281-238-2100 to sign up.
