Program Description

Description

"Healthy Bites, Healthy Moves" is an 8-week curriculum designed to teach adults key skills to promote their family's health and wellness. The curriculum builds upon creating healthy habits and a healthy environment at home by addressing a variety of concepts. These concepts include diet quality, physical activity, food resource management, food safety, food security, and food preparation. The curriculum is evidence-based through the guidance of USDA's MyPlate and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. This program was developed and supported by the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
