Program Description

Description

In honor of the 75th anniversary for Fort Bend County Libraries, join us for a popcorn and the classic film, A League of their Own. Released in 1992, this American baseball comedy-drama is a fictionalized account of the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. When World War II threatened to shut down Major League Baseball, Chicago Cubs owner Walter Harvey persuaded his fellow owners to bankroll a women's league.

Registration is not required, but space is limited, so please come early.
