Program Description

Description

Senior Series is a series of conversations with local experts focused on the unique and complex housing related issues facing mature homeowners and their families.

This month’s topic is The Truth About Paying for Senior Healthcare.

This topic always attracts a completely full house, and for good reason.  It's so confusing!  The goal of this month's seminar is to help attendees understand the differences in what each type of benefit covers (or doesn't).  Not only will we have experts on Medicare and Medicaid (state health insurance), but we will also have guest panelists with expertise in long-term care insurance, veteran benefits, and life care options.  Bring your questions and get ready to take a lot of notes.

Liz McNeel, with Keller Williams Metropolitan and Founder of the Houston Senior Living Series will moderate a panel of experts in exploring this topic.  This program is geared toward older adults and their family members. It is free and open to the public.  No registration required.

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
