Description

The Fort Bend Brass quintet will perform a number of pieces in the genre of jazz and swing. They will also spend some time conveying the history and story behind some of these charts.

Some examples include: It Don't Mean a Thing, If It Aint' Got That Thing, by Duke Ellington; The Music Of Cole Porter Suite by Cole Porter; It's Been aLong, Long Time by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne. We will also add a few crowd favorites such as Happy Trails To You, Amazing Grace, and New York, New York. Our goal is to entertain as well as to educate.
